The Ryden Beach Cruiser is designed for the side of cycling that is less concerned with watts, lap times, and technical trails, and more concerned with simply enjoying the ride. Inspired by classic coastal bicycles, it combines flowing frame lines, wide balloon tires, swept-back handlebars, and an oversized saddle with modern components that make it practical to own.
Its lightweight 6061 aluminum frame is a major advantage over traditional steel beach cruisers: it reduces weight and naturally resists rust, making the bike easier to manoeuvre, transport, and store. The relaxed geometry places the rider upright with the handlebars coming naturally toward the body, giving excellent visibility on busy recreational paths.
Large 27.5 x 2.35-inch balloon tires form an important part of the suspension-free comfort system, absorbing vibration from boardwalks, brick paths, cracks, and imperfect pavement. A Shimano 1x7 drivetrain keeps shifting straightforward, with easier gears for gentle inclines and harder gears for cruising.
Because coastal environments are demanding on bicycle hardware, the Beach Cruiser carries the Ryden Coastal Protection Package: stainless-steel spokes, stainless-steel fasteners in exposed locations, corrosion-resistant chain treatment, sealed-bearing hubs, sealed headset bearings, aluminium rims and frame, corrosion-resistant component coatings, and weather-resistant saddle material.
Important: no conventional bicycle is saltwater-proof. The Coastal Protection Package improves suitability for coastal ownership, but the bike should still be rinsed and dried after exposure to salt spray.
Mechanical disc brakes provide predictable stopping, while the full chain guard, kickstand, and bell make the bike practical straight from the box. Despite the name, it is designed primarily for paved coastal paths, boardwalks, and hard-packed surfaces: the 2.35-inch tires handle occasional firm, compact sand, but not deep or loose beach sand, which needs fat-bike tires.

Can I actually ride it on the beach?+
It can handle short sections of firm, compact sand, but it is not designed for deep, loose sand. The name refers to the bicycle’s coastal riding style and relaxed geometry.
Is it resistant to saltwater corrosion?+
The Coastal Protection Package improves corrosion resistance, but the bicycle is not corrosion-proof. Salt exposure should still be rinsed away and the bicycle dried after coastal rides.
Does it have gears?+

Is the Beach Cruiser suitable for long-distance cycling?+
It can handle longer recreational rides, but its upright position and wide tires prioritise comfort over speed and efficiency. A hybrid or touring bike would be more appropriate for very long distances.
What warranty is included?+
A 5-year limited frame warranty, a 2-year limited warranty on the fork, wheels and brakes, and a 1-year limited warranty on other components, with corrosion coverage subject to appropriate cleaning and maintenance.
