What counts as a petite frame?+
Every bike on this page comes in a size for riders 150 cm or shorter: XS on our gravel bikes, the All-Road, the E-Gravel and the Trail 100, Trail 200 and Hardtail Series, and S on our cruisers and comfort bikes. The Fold Lite, Compact and Fold Urban adjust to fit riders from 150 cm, the EasyRide starts at 148 cm, and the BMX Race’s Expert size fits riders from 140 cm.
Why do the small mountain bikes use 27.5-inch wheels?+
On sizes XS and S, the Trail 100, Trail 200 and Hardtail Series use 27.5-inch wheels for better standover, a lower centre of gravity and more confident handling for smaller riders. Sizes M to XL switch to 29-inch wheels.
I am 155 to 160 cm. What else fits me?+
Quite a lot more. Most of our road bikes and all our fixed-gear bikes in XS, and our hybrids and the E-City, E-Urban, E-Commute and E-Tour in S, fit riders from 155 cm. Browse Women’s bikes for every adult bike with a size from 155 cm.
Is a step-through frame easier for shorter riders?+
It makes getting on and off easier, because you do not need to swing a leg high over the top tube. The Cruiser Classic, Beach Cruiser, Sunset Cruiser, Comfort Ride and Relax come with a step-through frame from size S (150 to 165 cm), and the EasyRide’s extra-low frame has a step-over height of about 38 to 43 cm depending on size.
