SKU: RYD-CRANK-ROAD-2X-50-34-1725-2026  ·  ✓ In stock
$149.99

The Ryden Road Double Crankset is a lightweight 2× performance crankset engineered for road, endurance, fitness, all-road, and light touring bicycles. Built around forged hollow aluminum crank arms, an integrated 24 mm steel spindle, a stiff asymmetric four-arm spider, and matched Ryden RoadShift 2X chainrings, it delivers efficient power transfer, precise front shifting, and multiple gearing and crank-length options. The standard 50/34T Compact with 172.5 mm crank arms provides an excellent balance of climbing ability, cadence control, and high-speed road performance.

Color: Stealth Black
Chainrings: 50/34T Compact
Crank length: 172.5 mm

172.5 mm is the Ryden standard road size. Choose by bike fit, leg length and riding style rather than height alone.

Chain speed: 10-speed

12-speed: selected road drivetrains only, because some use specialized chain and tooth designs. Confirm yours with us before ordering.

Low weight, drivetrain stiffness, precise shifting, rider-specific gearing

Hollow-Forged Aluminum Crank Arms

A hollow-section forged construction reduces unnecessary mass while maintaining the stiffness required for road sprinting, climbing, and high-cadence riding.

Integrated 24 mm Spindle

A one-piece steel spindle integrated with the drive-side crank provides a stiff, serviceable interface for compatible external-bearing and press-fit bottom brackets.

Ryden RoadShift 2X Chainrings

Matched inner and outer rings use coordinated ramps, pickup pins, and transition teeth for precise front shifting.

Multiple Gearing & Crank-Length Options

Three chainring combinations and five crank lengths let riders configure the crankset around terrain, riding style, and fit.

Asymmetric Four-Arm Spider

A stiff four-arm architecture supports the chainrings while reducing material compared with a traditional five-arm spider.

The crankset is one of the main structural links between the rider and the bicycle drivetrain. Every pedal stroke passes from the pedal through the crank arm, spider, and chainring to the chain, so stiffness, alignment, chainring quality, spindle construction, and rider fit all influence how the bicycle feels under power.

The Ryden Road Double Crankset is designed as the core of Ryden’s conventional 2× road drivetrain. Its crank arms use a hollow-forged aluminum structure, concentrating material where loads are highest while reducing weight in lower-stress areas.

A 24 mm integrated steel spindle connects the crankset through the bottom bracket, producing a wide bearing stance and compatibility with several common road-frame bottom-bracket systems when paired with the correct bottom bracket.

At the drive side, an asymmetric four-arm spider supports the matched Ryden RoadShift 2X chainrings. Unlike generic replacement rings, the inner and outer rings are designed as a coordinated pair: pickup pins, shift ramps, and transition teeth are positioned relative to one another so the chain follows controlled paths during front shifts.

The crankset comes in three gearing combinations. For most riders, 50/34T Compact provides the strongest balance of road speed and climbing capability, while stronger riders can move to 52/36T or 53/39T.

The result is a road crankset focused on low weight, drivetrain stiffness, precise shifting, and rider-specific gearing.

Ryden HollowForm Road arms

Rather than a completely solid crank arm, the internal structure removes material where it contributes relatively little to stiffness. Broad, smooth outer surfaces give the crankset a clean, modern appearance. The result:

  • •Lower weight
  • •High bending stiffness
  • •Efficient pedaling feel
  • •Reduced rotating mass

RoadShift 2X chainrings

The crankset comes with the same RoadShift 2X ring family as the Ryden Road Double Chainring.

Outer ring
7075-T6 aluminum with machined shift ramps, steel pickup pins, transition teeth, reinforced high-load sectors, and a hard-anodized finish.
Inner ring
7075-T6 aluminum with matched shift timing, controlled chain-release profiles, and optimized tooth geometry.

Always install the rings in their correct indexed orientation.

Asymmetric four-arm spider

The spider arms are positioned according to pedaling-load patterns rather than spaced equally purely for appearance. The four-arm design offers:

  • •Reduced material
  • •High lateral stiffness
  • •Large open areas
  • •Clean aesthetics
  • •Strong chainring support

Ryden MicroPreload

A small preload adjuster on the non-drive side removes axial bearing play without over-compressing the bearings, which simplifies installation and allows accurate crank setup. A separate clamp or fixing bolt then secures the arm.
