Every road deserves to be explored
The Ryden Adventure is designed for cyclists who believe every road deserves to be explored. Whether you are riding scenic country roads, gravel fire roads, forest trails, or commuting through the city, this bike adapts effortlessly to changing terrain.
Its lightweight hydroformed aluminium frame delivers responsive handling with the durability needed for long-distance touring and bikepacking. The full carbon fork absorbs vibration from rough roads, helping reduce fatigue on extended adventures, and its triple cargo-cage mounts add capacity for long trips.
The Shimano GRX 610 1x12 drivetrain is engineered specifically for gravel: dependable shifting, low climbing gears, and excellent chain stability on rough surfaces. Paired here with a wide-range cassette for low gearing, it is ready for loaded climbs. Hydraulic disc brakes provide confident stopping in any weather.
Rolling on tubeless-ready 700c wheels with 45mm gravel tyres, the Adventure is smooth on asphalt while gripping well on gravel roads, forest tracks, and hard-packed dirt, and you can fit tyres up to 50mm for more demanding terrain. A flared gravel handlebar widens at the drops for extra control and stability on rough ground, and a carbon seatpost adds vibration damping for all-day comfort.
Mounting points throughout the frame and fork take extra bottles, racks, mudguards, and bikepacking bags, so you can set the bike up for commuting, weekend exploration, or multi-day expeditions.
Where it fits in the Ryden range: the Adventure is one of our three alloy gravel bikes, giving you genuine gravel capability without the premium price of a carbon bike. It shares gravel DNA with our carbon bikes (a full carbon fork, a Shimano GRX 1x12 gravel groupset, 50mm tyre clearance, a carbon seatpost, and comprehensive bikepacking mounts) but uses a premium aluminium frame and alloy wheels at a more accessible price, at 9.8 kg. Among the alloy bikes the Adventure is the lighter all-round choice: our more affordable Pathfinder uses an 11-speed 2x drivetrain and an alloy seatpost and leans toward touring and commuting, while our Expedition shares the Adventure's GRX 610 1x12 drivetrain but is a burlier, triple-butted heavy-load touring bike with wider tyres and far more cargo capacity. Choose the Adventure for the lighter all-round alloy bike; choose the Pathfinder for the lowest price and a 2x touring setup, or the Expedition for dedicated heavy, self-supported touring. Above all three sit our carbon gravel bikes, the 1x Gravel Pro, the 2x Explorer, and the electronic-shifting flagship Terra; for pure-pavement speed see our road bikes, for technical off-road trails our mountain bikes, and for upright flat-bar city and fitness riding our hybrid and city bikes.

Questions about this product (13)
A (Ryden team): The Adventure is ideal for gravel riders, endurance cyclists, commuters, bikepackers, and anyone who enjoys riding on both paved and unpaved roads. It is our accessible, alloy-framed gravel bike: genuine gravel capability at a more approachable price.
How is it different from the Ryden Gravel Pro?+
They share the same gravel DNA: a full carbon fork, a Shimano GRX 1x12 gravel groupset, 50mm tyre clearance, a carbon seatpost, and comprehensive bikepacking mounts. The Gravel Pro is a step up: a carbon frame (vs the Adventure’s premium aluminium), carbon wheels (vs alloy), the higher GRX 820 groupset (vs GRX 610), and a lighter weight (8.9 kg vs 9.8 kg). Choose the Gravel Pro for a lighter, higher-performance carbon bike; choose the Adventure for genuine gravel and bikepacking capability at a more accessible price ($1,799 vs $2,199).
How is it different from the Ryden Pathfinder?+
Both are alloy gravel bikes. The Pathfinder is more affordable ($1,499 vs $1,799) and uses a 2x drivetrain (two chainrings, closer gear spacing, well suited to road riding and loaded touring) with an 11-speed GRX 600 groupset and an alloy seatpost. The Adventure steps up to newer 12-speed components (GRX 610) and a carbon seatpost, but uses a simpler 1x drivetrain. Choose the Pathfinder for the lowest price and a 2x touring setup; choose the Adventure for newer 12-speed components, a carbon post, and 1x simplicity. Both share the same alloy frame family, carbon fork, GRX brakes, and bikepacking mounts.
How is it different from the Ryden Expedition?+
They share the same drivetrain (Shimano GRX 610 1x12), but they are built for different priorities. The Adventure is the lighter, all-round alloy gravel bike (9.8 kg) for mixed riding. The Expedition is purpose-built for heavy loads: a burlier triple-butted frame, wider 50C tyres (vs 45C), far more cargo mounts (five bottle cages plus front and rear rack mounts), a longer, more stable wheelbase, and a higher 140 kg (including cargo) capacity. Choose the Adventure if you want a lighter all-round bike; choose the Expedition if you specifically plan heavy, self-supported, multi-day touring. If you do not carry heavy loads, the Adventure is likely the better fit.
Can I use it as my everyday road bike?+
Absolutely. It rides efficiently on paved roads while staying capable on gravel, dirt roads, and forest tracks. It is a genuine do-both bike: quick on the road, confident off it.
Is it suitable for bikepacking?+
Yes. The frame and fork include multiple mounting points for racks, frame bags, cargo cages, mudguards, and extra bottle cages, making it well suited to multi-day adventures. For heavily loaded trips, consider total system weight (rider plus cargo) alongside the 130 kg rider limit.
Can I install wider tyres?+
Yes. The frame supports tyres up to 700x50C, so you can optimise the bike for rougher gravel routes or extra comfort. It ships with 700x45C gravel tyres.
Is the bike tubeless compatible?+
Yes. The wheels and tyres are tubeless-ready, reducing puncture risk while improving grip and ride quality, especially valuable on loose gravel surfaces.
Can it handle rough off-road terrain?+
It is designed for gravel roads, fire roads, forest trails, and hard-packed dirt; it is not intended for technical mountain biking or downhill trails. For technical off-road riding, our mountain bikes are the right tool; for gravel roads and mixed-surface adventure, the Adventure is built for exactly that.
How is it different from a mountain bike?+
A mountain bike is built for technical off-road trails, with flat bars and often suspension. The Adventure is a drop-bar gravel bike for covering distance efficiently across gravel roads, forest tracks, and hard-packed dirt at closer to road-bike speed, not for technical singletrack, jumps, or downhill. Different tools for different terrain.
How much assembly is required?+
The bike arrives approximately 90% assembled. Final installation of the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seatpost is required, typically 30 to 60 minutes for someone comfortable with basic bike mechanics. Tools and instructions are included.
What warranty is included?+
Lifetime warranty on the aluminium frame, 5-year warranty on the carbon fork, 2-year warranty on components (drivetrain, brakes), and a 2-year warranty on the wheelset. Full terms in our Warranty Policy.
Why should I choose the Ryden Adventure?+
It is built for riders who want one bike for commuting, fitness riding, weekend gravel exploration, and bikepacking. Its aluminium frame, carbon fork, Shimano GRX 1x12 drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, tubeless-ready wheels, and extensive cargo mounts give exceptional versatility and value: an ideal all-round gravel bike for riders who value exploration and dependable performance at an accessible price.
