Gravel performance, with a light touch
The Ryden E-Gravel is designed for cyclists who love gravel riding but want the freedom to travel farther, climb easier, and extend every adventure. Instead of overwhelming power, it delivers smooth, natural, subtle assistance that enhances your ride while preserving the authentic feel of cycling; this is a lightweight e-bike, built to ride like a normal gravel bike.
Its lightweight Toray T800 carbon frame uses endurance-focused gravel geometry that balances efficiency, stability, and comfort across mixed terrain. The full carbon fork further reduces vibration and sharpens steering.
The defining choice: the Bosch Performance Line SX motor. This is Bosch’s lightweight performance motor, compact and light, producing 55 Nm of torque. It is deliberately not the highest-powered motor; instead, it offers responsive, natural assistance on climbs and headwinds without the weight of larger e-bike systems. That is how the E-Gravel comes in at just 15.8 kg, remarkably light for an e-bike, and close enough to a normal gravel bike that it handles like one. Paired with a compact, integrated 400Wh battery, the system balances useful range against low weight.
Shimano’s GRX 820 1x12 drivetrain provides wide-range gearing and excellent chain retention, and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes give confident stopping in any conditions. The carbon wheelset and tubeless-ready 700x45C gravel tyres deliver grip, speed, and comfort across pavement, gravel roads, forest tracks, and light trails, with clearance for tyres up to 50mm. A full carbon cockpit and seatpost add vibration damping.
Integrated mounting points throughout the frame and fork take frame bags, top-tube bags, cargo cages, and extra bottle cages, making the E-Gravel capable for endurance riding, bikepacking, and weekend adventures. For longer trips, an optional Bosch PowerMore 250Wh range extender adds capacity (see Range & motor).
Where it fits in the Ryden range: the E-Gravel is our lightweight electric gravel bike, a distinct kind of e-bike. Unlike our full-power city e-bikes (E-City, E-Urban) and our full-power E-MTB Pro, the E-Gravel uses Bosch’s lightweight SX motor to keep weight low and preserve a natural ride feel, for gravel riders who want subtle assistance rather than maximum power. It sits between a traditional gravel bike and a full-power e-bike. If you want the lightest, most natural-feeling gravel bike with a bit of help on the climbs and the range to go farther, the E-Gravel is built for that. If you would prefer a lighter, non-assisted gravel bike, or do not want a motor at all, our non-electric gravel bikes cover accessible-alloy through carbon-race and endurance builds at lower weights and prices; the choice comes down to whether you want light electric assistance.

Questions about this product (11)
A (Ryden team): It is ideal for gravel riders, endurance cyclists, commuters, and bikepackers who want lightweight electric assistance without sacrificing the feel of a traditional gravel bike. It is our lightweight e-bike: subtle assistance, natural ride feel.
How is it different from the Ryden E-City (and our other e-bikes)?+
Two big differences: discipline and motor philosophy. The E-City and E-Urban are full-power city and commuter e-bikes (upright, commuter-equipped); the E-MTB Pro is a full-power trail bike. The E-Gravel is a lightweight gravel bike; it uses Bosch’s lighter SX motor (55 Nm) rather than a full-power motor, which keeps it at just 15.8 kg so it feels like a normal gravel bike with a bit of help. It is built for gravel adventures and endurance riding, not urban commuting or technical trails.
Why does it use the Bosch Performance Line SX motor instead of the CX motor?+
The SX is Bosch’s lightweight performance motor, significantly lighter and more efficient than the CX. That lightness is the point: it keeps the bike agile and natural-feeling (15.8 kg), which matters more on a gravel bike than maximum torque. It still gives genuine, useful assistance (55 Nm) on climbs and headwinds, just with a lighter, more natural feel than a full-power system.
How far can I ride on one charge?+
The standard 400Wh battery gives up to 140 km in Eco mode under ideal conditions (less in higher modes: up to 105 km Tour, 80 km Sport, 60 km Turbo). With the optional Bosch PowerMore 250Wh range extender (sold separately), total range can reach up to 220 km. Real range varies with terrain, rider weight, and conditions; see the Range & motor tab.
Is the battery removable?+
Yes. The integrated Bosch CompactTube battery can be removed for charging or replacement.
Can I use it without motor assistance?+
Absolutely, and this is a real advantage of the lightweight design. At 15.8 kg it pedals naturally with the motor off, much more like a normal gravel bike than a heavy full-power e-bike, so running low on battery is far less of a concern.
Is it suitable for bikepacking?+
Yes. The frame and fork have multiple mounting points for racks, cargo cages, frame bags, top-tube bags, and extra bottle cages. For long self-supported trips, the optional range extender adds range while keeping the bike light for everyday rides. For heavily loaded trips, consider total system weight (rider plus gear) alongside the 125 kg rider limit.
How is it different from Ryden's non-electric gravel bikes?+
The E-Gravel adds Bosch’s lightweight SX motor and battery to a carbon gravel platform, so you get subtle assistance and more range, at 15.8 kg. Our non-electric gravel bikes (accessible alloy through carbon race and endurance builds) are lighter and more affordable, without a motor. Choose the E-Gravel if you want light electric assistance with a natural feel; choose a non-electric gravel bike if you want the lightest, purest, most affordable gravel ride. Our support team can help you decide.
How much assembly is required?+
The bike arrives approximately 90% assembled. Final installation of the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, and seatpost is required, typically 30 to 60 minutes. Tools, instructions, and the Bosch SX system guide are included.
What warranty is included?+
Lifetime warranty on the carbon frame, 5-year warranty on the carbon fork, 5-year warranty on the Bosch motor, 3-year warranty on the Bosch battery, and 2-year warranty on components. Full terms in our Warranty Policy.
Why should I choose the Ryden E-Gravel?+
It is for riders who want the speed and versatility of a premium gravel bike with discreet, natural electric assistance. Its lightweight carbon frame, Bosch SX motor, Shimano GRX drivetrain, carbon wheels, and adventure-ready design make it ideal for endurance rides, gravel racing, bikepacking, and all-day exploration: a distinct, lightweight kind of e-bike that rides like the real thing.
