Full-suspension comfort and capability, without the premium

The Ryden Full Suspension Series is designed to be the perfect all-purpose mountain bike for riders who want more comfort and capability than a hardtail without moving into aggressive enduro territory.

Built around a hydroformed aluminium frame with a modern four-bar suspension platform, the bike delivers 140mm of rear wheel travel paired with a FOX Float Performance rear shock. Up front, a FOX 34 Performance fork provides 140mm of travel, absorbing rocks, roots, and rough terrain while maintaining excellent pedalling efficiency.

The Shimano XT 1x12 drivetrain offers crisp shifting and an ultra-wide gear range for everything from steep mountain climbs to flowing descents. Powerful Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes, with a four-piston front caliper for extra stopping power on descents, inspire confidence in all conditions, and the included 150mm dropper post makes descending technical trails significantly easier.

Tubeless-ready wheels, grippy trail tyres, and modern geometry complete a versatile package. Whether you are riding local trail centres, mountain singletrack, forest routes, or weekend adventures, the Full Suspension Series delivers smooth performance and excellent rider confidence.

Where it fits in the Ryden mountain range: the Full Suspension Series is our accessible, alloy-framed entry into full suspension, sitting just below the carbon All Mountain. It shares the same do-it-all trail philosophy and the same Shimano XT drivetrain, but the All Mountain steps up with a carbon frame, slightly more travel (150/145mm), a burlier FOX 36 fork, four-piston brakes front and rear, and a lighter overall weight, for riders who want the premium version. If you would rather have a lighter carbon race hardtail at a similar price, our XC Pro is a different tool (carbon, 100mm, race geometry, built to climb and race); if you want a simpler, lighter hardtail for less money, our Hardtail Series is the alloy hardtail option. The Full Suspension Series is the bike for riders who want full-suspension comfort and trail capability at an accessible price.

What is a full-suspension mountain bike?+

A full-suspension mountain bike has both a front suspension fork and a rear shock. This improves traction, rider comfort, control, and confidence on rough terrain compared with a hardtail, which has front suspension only.

How is it different from the Ryden Hardtail Series?+

The Full Suspension Series adds a rear suspension system (140mm of rear travel) that increases comfort, traction, and stability on technical terrain, where the Hardtail Series has front suspension only. The Hardtail Series, in turn, is lighter, simpler to maintain, more efficient pedalling, and less expensive ($1,699 vs $2,999). Choose the Hardtail Series for simplicity, efficiency, and value; choose the Full Suspension Series for added comfort, traction, and control on rougher trails.

How is it different from the Ryden All Mountain?+

Both are do-it-all full-suspension trail bikes with Shimano XT drivetrains and FOX suspension, but the All Mountain is the premium step up: a carbon frame (vs aluminium), slightly more travel (150/145mm vs 140/140mm), a burlier FOX 36 fork (vs FOX 34), four-piston brakes front and rear (vs four-piston front, two-piston rear), a longer 170mm dropper (vs 150mm), and a lighter overall weight (13.2 kg vs 13.8 kg). Choose the Full Suspension Series for full-suspension capability at an accessible price ($2,999); choose the All Mountain for the premium carbon version ($3,699).

What type of terrain is it designed for?+

It performs exceptionally well on forest trails, rocky singletrack, mountain routes, trail centres, and moderate technical descents. For aggressive descending, bike parks, or enduro racing, our All Mountain (more travel) or Enduro X (long-travel enduro) would be more capable.

How much suspension travel does it have?+

There is 140mm of front travel (FOX 34 Performance fork) and 140mm of rear travel (four-bar linkage with a FOX Float Performance shock), an ideal balance for modern trail riding while maintaining efficient climbing.

Is the bike tubeless compatible?+

Yes. The wheelset and tyres are supplied tubeless-ready for improved grip, fewer punctures, and lower tyre pressures.

Does it include a dropper seatpost?+

Yes. A 150mm internally routed dropper post is included as standard equipment, no need to buy one separately. It lets you drop the saddle for descents and raise it for climbs at the push of a lever.

How much assembly is required?+

The bike arrives approximately 90% assembled with the dropper post fitted. Final installation of the handlebars, front wheel, and pedals, plus suspension setup (setting fork and shock pressures to your weight), is required. We recommend setting suspension sag carefully, or having a shop help, to get the most from the bike.

What warranty is included?+

Lifetime warranty on the aluminium frame, 5-year warranty on the suspension linkage, 2-year warranty on suspension components (fork and rear shock), and 2-year warranty on drivetrain and brakes. The fork and shock need periodic servicing per the manufacturers’ schedules to keep their warranty valid. Full terms in our Warranty Policy.

Why should I choose the Ryden Full Suspension Series?+

It is the ideal choice for riders who want one mountain bike that performs across a broad range of terrain. Its full-suspension platform, Shimano XT drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, dropper post, and progressive trail geometry deliver excellent climbing efficiency, confident descending, and all-day comfort, bridging the gap between entry-level trail bikes and aggressive enduro machines at an accessible price.
