Built to race, built to climb

The Ryden XC Pro is engineered for riders who demand speed above everything else. Designed specifically for cross-country racing and endurance riding, it combines a lightweight carbon frame with modern XC geometry to create a mountain bike that climbs effortlessly, accelerates rapidly, and stays composed through technical terrain.

Its Toray T800 carbon frame provides outstanding stiffness for efficient power transfer while keeping weight low. A RockShox SID Select 100mm air suspension fork absorbs trail chatter without compromising pedaling performance, and its handlebar remote lockout lets you firm up the fork for climbs and sprints without reaching down, making the XC Pro ideal for marathon races, Olympic XC events, and demanding training rides.

The Shimano XT 1x12 drivetrain offers precise, pro-grade shifting across a wide 10-51T range, while Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes provide powerful, controlled stopping on steep descents. Lightweight carbon wheels and fast-rolling Maxxis Aspen XC tyres maximize efficiency and carry speed over varied terrain.

Built around 29-inch wheels and race XC geometry, the XC Pro delivers quick handling, excellent climbing traction, and confident stability on technical race courses.

A note on suspension travel: the XC Pro runs 100mm of travel, intentionally less than our Trail 200 (120mm). This is by design, not a compromise. Cross-country race bikes use shorter travel to save weight and maximize pedaling efficiency, which is why the XC Pro weighs just 10.4 kg. If you want more travel for aggressive descending and technical trail riding, our Trail 200 is the better choice; if you want the lightest, fastest-climbing race bike, the XC Pro is built for exactly that.

A note on discipline: the XC Pro and our Trail bikes are built for different riding. The XC Pro is a race machine: lightest weight, climbing efficiency, race geometry, premium race components. The Trail 100 and Trail 200 are trail bikes: more travel, more relaxed geometry, built for recreational riding and descending. Neither is better; they are built for different riders and different days.

What makes an XC bike different from a trail bike?+

XC bikes prioritize lightweight construction, climbing speed, efficient pedaling, and endurance over long distances, while trail bikes use longer-travel suspension and more relaxed geometry for more aggressive descending. Our XC Pro (100mm travel, 10.4 kg, carbon, race geometry) is built for racing and climbing; our Trail 100 and Trail 200 (more travel, alloy, trail geometry) are built for recreational trail riding and descending. They are different tools for different riding, not better or worse versions of each other.

Is the Ryden XC Pro suitable for racing?+

Yes. It is specifically engineered for cross-country racing, marathon events, endurance competitions, and high-performance training. From Olympic XC courses to marathon distances, the XC Pro is built to compete.

Why does it use a 100mm suspension fork?+

A 100mm fork provides enough comfort and control for race courses while minimizing weight and maximizing pedaling efficiency; it is the preferred travel for many XC race bikes. It is intentionally less travel than our Trail 200 (120mm): XC racing prioritizes low weight and climbing efficiency over descending capability, which is exactly why the XC Pro weighs 10.4 kg. If you want more travel for technical descending, the Trail 200 is the better choice.

Does it support tubeless tyres?+

Yes. The carbon wheelset is fully tubeless-ready for lower tyre pressures, improved traction, and reduced puncture risk, standard practice for XC racing. It ships with fast-rolling Maxxis Aspen XC tyres.

Can I install a dropper seatpost?+

Yes. The frame includes internal routing for an optional dropper post if you want extra control on technical descents. The XC Pro ships with a lightweight rigid carbon seatpost (many XC racers prefer the weight saving), but the dropper option is there if you want it.

Why does it only come with 29-inch wheels?+

Modern XC racing has largely standardized on 29-inch wheels because they roll more efficiently over obstacles and maintain momentum better than smaller wheel sizes, a real advantage over race distances. The XC Pro is 29er across all four sizes.

How much assembly is required?+

The bike arrives approximately 90% assembled. Final installation of the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seatpost is required, typically 30 to 60 minutes for someone comfortable with basic bike mechanics. Tools and instructions are included.

What warranty is included?+

Lifetime warranty on the carbon frame, 2-year warranty on the RockShox SID suspension fork, and 2-year warranty on components. The suspension fork needs periodic servicing per the manufacturer’s schedule to keep its warranty valid. Full terms in our Warranty Policy.

Why should I choose the Ryden XC Pro?+

The XC Pro is the ideal mountain bike for riders focused on speed, endurance, and racing performance. Its lightweight carbon frame, premium Shimano XT drivetrain, RockShox SID suspension, carbon wheelset, and race-proven geometry provide everything needed to excel in cross-country competition while remaining efficient and enjoyable for marathon events and fast trail riding.
