Ready for more technical trails

The Ryden Trail 200 is built for riders who have progressed beyond beginner trails and want a mountain bike capable of handling more technical terrain. It combines progressive trail geometry with premium components to inspire confidence whether you are climbing steep hills or descending rocky singletrack.

The lightweight hydroformed aluminium frame features a slacker head angle and longer reach than our Trail 100, providing increased stability at higher speeds while remaining agile through tight corners. The 120mm SR Suntour XCR air suspension fork smooths out roots, rocks, and uneven terrain, and because it is air-sprung you can fine-tune the suspension pressure to your weight and riding style, and it is lighter than a comparable coil fork.

The Shimano CUES 1x12 drivetrain delivers reliable shifting across a broad 10-51T range, making steep climbs easier while maintaining speed on descents. Shimano MT410 hydraulic disc brakes provide consistent stopping power in all conditions, and the tubeless-ready wheels with Maxxis Rekon tyres improve grip and reduce the likelihood of punctures.

Designed for trail centres, forest singletrack, mountain adventures, and weekend exploration, the Trail 200 offers an excellent balance of efficiency, capability, and long-term upgrade potential. It steps up from our Trail 100 with an air fork, a wider-range 1x12 drivetrain, stronger wheels and tyres, better brakes, and more progressive geometry, and despite the extra suspension travel, it is actually lighter (12.7 kg vs 13.4 kg) thanks to the air fork.

A note on what this bike is built for: the Trail 200 handles forest trails, rocky singletrack, flowing trail centres, gravel routes, and moderate technical terrain. It is not built for downhill racing or bike-park jumps; those disciplines need a longer-travel, gravity-specific bike. For capable, confidence-inspiring trail riding across a wide range of terrain, the Trail 200 is built to deliver.

How is it different from the Ryden Trail 100?+

The Trail 200 steps up across the board: a 120mm air suspension fork (vs the Trail 100's 100mm coil), a Shimano CUES 1x12 drivetrain with a wider 10-51T range (vs 1x10), stronger Pro wheels with branded Maxxis Rekon tyres, upgraded MT410 brakes, more progressive (slacker, longer) geometry, and internal dropper routing. Despite the extra travel, it is lighter (12.7 kg vs 13.4 kg) because the air fork weighs less than a coil fork. Choose the Trail 100 to get started on trails affordably; choose the Trail 200 for more capability on technical terrain.

What type of terrain is it designed for?+

It is designed for forest trails, rocky singletrack, flowing trail centres, gravel routes, and moderate technical terrain. It is not intended for downhill racing or bike-park jumps; those need a longer-travel, gravity-specific bike.

Does it have an air suspension fork?+

Yes. The 120mm SR Suntour XCR air fork is lighter and more adjustable than a coil fork, letting you tune the suspension pressure to your weight and riding style, with rebound adjustment to control how the fork returns after compression.

Does it support tubeless tyres?+

Yes. The wheels are fully tubeless-ready for improved traction, lower rolling resistance, and fewer punctures. The bike comes with Maxxis Rekon tyres, a well-regarded fast-rolling trail tyre.

Can I install a dropper seatpost?+

Yes. The frame includes internal routing for a dropper post, making the upgrade clean and simple. A dropper is one of the most worthwhile upgrades for technical trail riding, letting you drop the saddle for descents at the push of a lever.

Why does it use a 1x12 drivetrain?+

A 1x12 drivetrain offers a wide 10-51T gear range with simpler operation, better chain retention, and reduced maintenance compared with traditional multi-chainring systems; there is no front derailleur to manage. The wide range covers steep climbs and fast descents alike.

How much assembly is required?+

The bike arrives approximately 90% assembled. Final installation of the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seatpost is required, typically 30 to 60 minutes for someone comfortable with basic bike mechanics. Tools and instructions are included.

What warranty is included?+

Lifetime warranty on the aluminium frame, 2-year warranty on the suspension fork, and 2-year warranty on components. The air fork needs periodic servicing per the manufacturer’s schedule to keep its warranty valid. Full terms in our Warranty Policy.

Why choose the Ryden Trail 200?+

The Trail 200 is an ideal upgrade for riders who want a capable hardtail without moving to full-suspension. Its hydroformed aluminium frame, 120mm air fork, CUES 1x12 drivetrain, MT410 hydraulic brakes, Maxxis Rekon tyres, and progressive trail geometry deliver the confidence and performance needed for challenging trails while keeping excellent climbing efficiency and straightforward maintenance.
