Ryden Buyer Portal

Ryden Buyer Portal: quote builder and account management for wholesale buyers.

The Ryden buyer portal launches with the wholesale operation. The portal centers on a multi-category quote builder for assembling wholesale quote requests across our 46 product categories in a single submission, with supporting features including account dashboard, order history, document storage, and direct communication with your account manager. Approved wholesale buyers receive portal access during onboarding; distributor tier buyers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) access tier-specific portal features per the distributor program.

Portal capabilities at a glance

What the buyer portal provides approved wholesale buyers.

The buyer portal is the centralized environment where approved wholesale buyers work with Ryden operationally. The portal replaces a patchwork of email exchanges, separate quote forms, and ad-hoc document sharing with a unified interface designed around how wholesale buyers actually work. The quote builder is the portal’s primary tool; supporting features address the operational needs that arise around wholesale orders.

Quote builder

The portal's primary tool. Assemble wholesale quote requests spanning multiple product categories in a single submission. Search the catalog, add SKUs, specify quantities, select customization options (private label, custom branding), and submit for quote response. The quote builder consolidates what would otherwise require multiple per-category quote forms into one structured submission.

Account dashboard

Your wholesale account overview: current account standing, payment terms tier (prepayment / Net 30 / Net 60), distributor tier (if applicable), active quotes, pending orders, recent activity. The dashboard provides operational visibility across your relationship with Ryden.

Order history and document storage

Searchable order history covering all wholesale orders, with line-item detail, invoice access, shipment tracking, customs documentation, and quality documentation per shipment. Document storage holds your account-specific documents: contracts, certifications, invoices, customs paperwork, marketing materials, and similar operational documentation.

Account manager communication

Direct communication thread with your dedicated or assigned account manager (Bronze tier: shared dedicated account manager; Silver tier: dedicated account manager; Gold tier: dedicated senior account manager; standard wholesale: assigned account manager). The communication thread persists across orders, providing continuous relationship context rather than fragmented email threads.

Quote builder workflow

From multi-category quote assembly to quote response.

The quote builder is the portal’s primary operational tool. The workflow is designed for the operational reality of wholesale buyers: assembling quote requests spanning multiple SKUs across multiple categories, often with customization considerations, and submitting them as a single request rather than as fragmented per-category submissions.

  1. 1

    Browse and search the catalog

The quote builder presents the full wholesale catalog organized by category (bikes, parts, accessories, apparel and safety, tools and workshop). Search by keyword, filter by category, or browse category by category. SKU details, specifications, and product images support evaluation.

  2. 2

    Add SKUs to your quote

Add SKUs to your active quote with quantities. The quote builder tracks SKUs across categories: helmets and pumps and repair tools in the same quote is operationally normal. Quantity entry supports the MOQ requirements per SKU; the builder flags quantities below MOQ.

  3. 3

    Specify customization options

For each SKU, indicate customization preferences: standard catalog SKU, Ryden-branded private label, your custom branding, or mixed across order. Customization specifications inform the quote response and lead time.

  4. 4

    Add shipping and freight preferences

Specify destination, preferred Incoterm (FOB, CIF, DAP, EXW), freight insurance preference, and any time-sensitive requirements. The quote builder informs freight planning for the response.

  5. 5

Review and submit the quote request

Review your assembled quote request: SKUs, quantities, customization, shipping. Add any notes for the wholesale team. Submit. The quote enters our wholesale team’s quote response queue.

  6. 6

    Receive your quote response

We respond with unit pricing at your volume, MOQ verification, lead times, freight estimates, and customization timeline. The quote response appears in your portal with email notification.

  7. 7

    Accept or refine the quote

Accept the quote to convert to an order, refine the quote (adjust quantities, customization, or other elements), or save the quote for later. Accepted quotes proceed through order confirmation, payment per your payment terms tier, and dispatch.

Portal features in detail

Supporting features beyond the quote builder.

While the quote builder is the portal’s primary tool, several supporting features address operational needs that arise around wholesale orders.

Account dashboard

Your wholesale account at a glance. Current account standing (active, hold, suspended), payment terms tier with progress toward next tier where applicable (prepayment to Net 30 to Net 60), distributor tier confirmation and tier-specific benefits where applicable, active quote requests, pending orders, recent shipments, and key documents requiring attention. The dashboard is designed for quick operational visibility rather than deep analytics: what is happening on your account right now.

Order history with line-item detail

Searchable order history covering all wholesale orders. Per-order detail: SKUs ordered, quantities, customization, unit pricing at the time of order, freight, customs documentation, shipment tracking, defect handling status. Filterable by date range, category, SKU, or status. Useful for purchase pattern review, audit support, and operational planning.

Document storage

Centralized document repository for account documents. Invoices and accounting documentation, customs paperwork (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, certification documentation), private label artwork files, custom branding artwork files, contracts and policy acknowledgments, marketing materials and product imagery for your use, and ad-hoc documents shared by your account manager. Documents are searchable and downloadable.

Account manager communication

Direct messaging with your account manager rather than email threads that fragment across team members. Communication context persists: your account manager sees the full history of your portal communications rather than reconstructing from emails. Message types include general inquiries, quote-related questions, order-related questions, customization questions, and support requests.

Shipment tracking

Active shipment status from dispatch to delivery. Tracking numbers, carrier portal links, customs status updates, delivery confirmation. Where shipments encounter customs holds, delays, or other issues, status updates appear in the portal with appropriate context.

Saved quote drafts

Quote requests do not have to be submitted in a single session. Save quote drafts in progress, return to them later, refine, and submit when ready. Useful for buyers assembling quotes over multiple days as they gather information from their downstream customers or operational planning.

Notification preferences

Configurable notifications for quote responses, order updates, shipment status changes, document updates, and account manager messages. Notifications via email, in-portal, or both per buyer preference.

Buyer portal FAQ

Common buyer portal questions.

When does the buyer portal launch?

The buyer portal launches with the wholesale operation. Approved wholesale buyers receive portal access details during account onboarding. The portal is designed to be the operational environment for the wholesale relationship from launch forward; existing email-based workflows transition to the portal as buyers onboard.

Do I need the buyer portal to work with Ryden as a wholesale buyer?

No. Wholesale buyers can continue working through email-based workflows (quote requests via email, order coordination via email, document exchange via email) if they prefer. The portal provides operational efficiency and visibility, but it is not a required interface. Some buyers prefer email; some prefer the portal; some use a mix.

How do I access the portal?

Approved wholesale buyers receive portal access credentials during account onboarding (after wholesale application approval). Sign in at the portal URL using your credentials. If you are a prospect, apply for a wholesale account first; portal access follows account approval.

What is the difference between the quote builder and the per-category quote forms on catalog pages?

The per-category quote forms on catalog pages are accessible to any visitor (including prospects evaluating Ryden before applying for wholesale) and submit category-specific quote requests. The quote builder is portal-based, accessible to approved wholesale buyers, and supports multi-category quote assembly in a single submission. Approved buyers can use either; the quote builder is more efficient for multi-category orders.

Can I use the portal on mobile?

Yes. The portal is designed mobile-first within the operational constraints of complex workflows. The quote builder works on mobile for browsing and adding SKUs; substantive quote assembly (adding many SKUs, specifying customization, reviewing freight) typically benefits from desktop. Account dashboard, order history, document storage, and communication work well on mobile.

What if I have multiple users at my business who should access the portal?

The portal supports multi-user accounts for approved wholesale buyers. Primary account contact has full access; additional users can be added with varying permission levels (full access, quote-only access, view-only access). User management is handled through the account dashboard or by request to your account manager.

Is portal data secure?

Yes. Portal communication uses TLS encryption in transit; account data is encrypted at rest. Multi-factor authentication is available for portal sign-in. Security details are governed by the Privacy Policy.

What happens to my data if I close my wholesale account?

Data retention is governed by the Privacy Policy: active account data retained while account active, plus 7 years after closure for tax, accounting, and regulatory recordkeeping compliance. Portal access ends with account closure; document downloads and order history exports are available during account closure.

Can I export data from the portal?

Yes. Order history, quote history, and account data can be exported in standard formats (CSV, PDF) for buyers needing data in their own systems. Document downloads (invoices, customs paperwork, etc.) are available throughout the relationship.

What if the portal has an issue or I cannot access it?

Contact your account manager or the wholesale team. Email-based workflows remain available as a fallback during any portal issues. Operational continuity is the priority; the portal is a tool that improves efficiency, not the only path to working with Ryden.

Will the portal change over time?

Yes. We expect the portal to evolve with operational needs and buyer feedback. Major changes are communicated to active buyers; minor improvements roll out continuously. The portal is built to support the wholesale operation as it grows rather than as a fixed tool.

What about distributor tier-specific portal features?

Distributor tier buyers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) access tier-specific portal features per the distributor program: distributor-tier pricing visibility, distributor sample program request access, early access to new SKUs and seasonal collections (per tier), marketing co-op materials, distributor advisory council communications (Gold tier), and similar tier benefits surfaced through the portal interface.
