Our kids’ range

What we supply.

Six wheel sizes covering the full progression from first balance bike to junior mountain bike. We’ve kept trim variations tight inside each wheel size so your shop carries a clean SKU list rather than a confusing parallel range. Every model is third-party tested for the relevant market; certificates travel with the shipment.

12" balance bikes

Steel or aluminium frame · Low standover height · Adjustable saddle and bar · Foam or air tires · No pedals

Pedal-free first bikes for ages roughly 2 to 4. The category that starts the cycling habit.

14" pedal

Steel frame · Coaster brake (EU permitted markets) + rear hand brake · Training wheels removable · Chain guard

First pedal bikes for ages roughly 3 to 5. Coaster availability depends on destination regulation.

16" pedal

Steel frame · Coaster + rear hand brake (EU) or hand brakes only (other markets) · Training wheels removable · Chain guard

Ages roughly 4 to 7. The volume model in most kids ranges because the size span covers the longest growth period.

20" pedal

Aluminium or steel frame · Front and rear hand brakes (no coaster) · 6-speed gearing on higher trim · Chain guard

Ages roughly 6 to 9. The transition to "real bike" feel.

24" pedal

Aluminium frame · V-brakes or mechanical disc (trim-dependent) · 6 or 7-speed gearing · Chain guard

Ages roughly 8 to 12. The size where children's bikes start to share components with adult ranges.

26" junior MTB

Aluminium frame · V-brakes or mechanical disc · 7-speed · Suspension fork on higher trim

Ages roughly 10 to 14, or smaller adults. Sits at the boundary between kids' and adult MTB.

Why wholesale kids’ bikes through us

A supplier that treats child products as a regulated category, not a small one.

Full child-product compliance

EN 14765 (EU children's bicycle standard), CPSC 16 CFR Part 1512 (US bicycle standard), and full CPSIA compliance for US shipments including third-party lead and phthalate testing. General Certificate of Conformity supplied with every US shipment. Documentation travels with the freight.

Wholesale pricing that protects your margin

Direct-from-manufacturer wholesale pricing without an extra import layer compressing your margin. Tier pricing improves as your volume grows.

Spec decisions made once, applied consistently

Brake configuration by wheel size, reflector positions, chain guard fitment, and small-parts compliance are decided once at the supplier level and applied across every SKU in our range. Your shop doesn't get inconsistent spec between orders.

Private label and program-friendly

Private-label runs available from [100 units per wheel size]. School, community, and corporate family-program orders welcome at higher volumes with consistent paint and spec.

Build your shop’s own kids’ line

Your name on the bike that introduces a child to cycling.

A private-label kids’ line is the longest-tail brand association a bike shop can build, because the child who learns to ride on your branded bike is the customer who buys their first adult bike from you a decade later. We extend the certification chain to your branded SKUs: same EN 14765 documentation, same CPSIA third-party testing, same General Certificate of Conformity, all valid under your brand. Private-label kids’ bikes start at [100 units per wheel size], with 3 weeks to first sample and 2–3 months from sample approval.

Specifications and standards

Kids’ bike specifications and standards.

Children’s bicycles are a regulated child-product category in every major market, and the compliance stack is heavier than for adult bikes because the failure consequences involve children. The standards we work to:

EN 14765 (EU)

The European standard for children’s bicycles, applicable to bikes with a maximum saddle height of 635mm (which covers up to roughly the 24" wheel category). It defines stricter test requirements than adult-bike standards: brake force-to-actuate limits calibrated to children’s grip strength, frame impact requirements, small-parts retention, and protrusion limits on cables and bolts that adult standards don’t carry. Every kids’ model shipping to EU retailers is EN 14765 certified.

CPSC 16 CFR Part 1512 and Part 1213 (US)

CPSC 16 CFR Part 1512 is the US bicycle standard that applies to all bicycles including children’s. 16 CFR Part 1213 applies to sidewalk bicycles (effectively 12" and 14" wheel sizes in our range) with its own requirements. Both certificates are on file for the relevant SKUs.

CPSIA (US children’s-product framework)

CPSIA(the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) is the broader US framework governing all children’s products and imposes obligations beyond the bicycle standards: third-party testing for total lead content in paint and substrate, phthalate content limits on plasticised components (grips, tires, saddles), small-parts compliance, and tracking labels on every unit. Every shipment to US retailers includes a General Certificate of Conformity referencing our third-party test reports. CPSIA non-compliance penalties are substantial, which is why we don’t ship to US retailers without the certificate package complete.

UK toy-safety overlap

Smallest wheel sizes (12" balance bikes and some 14" models) can fall under UK toy-safety regulation alongside the cycle regulation. We confirm the applicable framework per shipment based on the model and the destination retailer’s classification needs.

On build: aluminium or steel frames depending on wheel size and trim, with steel preferred at the smallest wheel sizes for repairability and impact tolerance. Brake configuration varies by wheel size: 14" and 16" models carry a coaster brake plus rear hand brake where market regulation permits coaster brakes; 20" and above use front and rear hand brakes only because children at that age can reliably actuate them. Brake levers on hand-braked models are sized and force-calibrated for children’s hands per EN 14765 test requirements. Chain guards are fitted on every pedal model. Reflectors are positioned per CPSC requirements (front, rear, wheel, and pedal positions where applicable) on all models, with the EU-required equivalent positions where they differ. Tires are foam-filled on the smallest balance bikes (puncture-proof for the riding profile) and air on larger models.

What you won’t find in our kids’ range at launch

18" wheel sizes (a niche size that creates inventory friction for shops without commensurate demand), specialist BMX kids’ models (different category, different certification considerations), or kids’ e-bikes. Each is a deliberate omission: 18" is commercial discipline against a size that bloats inventory; BMX needs its own R&D investment; child-product e-bike regulatory exposure is higher than adult e-bike and we’d rather build into that category properly when we do.

Operational realities named up front

Kids’ bikes ship denser and need different assembly.

Three operational realities to know up front.

01

Freight is denser, per-unit freight is lower

Kids' bikes ship boxed and palletised, with smaller boxes per unit than adult bikes. A pallet of kids' bikes typically carries more units than a pallet of adults, which means freight per unit runs lower than the adult categories. International freight from the origin port is quoted per shipment alongside your initial quote so your landed cost is a known number before you commit. Fleet, school, and program orders at higher volumes can be quoted on container shipping, which reduces per-unit freight further.

02

Packing includes accessory items and CPSIA tracking labels

Kids' models include more accessory items in the box than adult bikes: training wheels on the smallest sizes, removable tassels or accessories on some trims, the tracking-label package required by CPSIA for US shipments. We pack to keep these items inventoried per box and document every shipment with photographs before dispatch.

03

Assembly uses children's-specific torque values

Kids' bikes arrive with handlebars rotated for box clearance, pedals off, training wheels packaged separately, and the front wheel attached on most models (smaller wheels make front-wheel-off packing less freight-efficient). Your mechanic fits the pedals, straightens and torques the bars to the children's-specific torque values (lower than adult bike torques because frames and stems are sized for smaller forces), and runs the brake bleed-check and shifting check. Coaster-brake models need a specific cable and freewheel check that hand-brake-only adult bikes don't. We supply assembly notes per model and a torque chart for the fasteners that matter.

Common kids’ wholesale questions

What buyers actually ask.

What certifications do you supply for kids' bikes?

EN 14765 documentation for EU shipments. CPSC 16 CFR Part 1512 and 16 CFR Part 1213 for US shipments. Full CPSIA compliance including third-party lead and phthalate testing and a General Certificate of Conformity for every US shipment. UK toy-safety framework confirmed per shipment for the smallest wheel sizes where it applies.

What's CPSIA and why does it matter?

CPSIA is the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, which imposes broader requirements on children's products than the bicycle standard alone: third-party testing for lead in paint and substrate, phthalate limits on plasticized components, tracking labels on every unit, and a General Certificate of Conformity for every shipment. Non-compliance penalties are substantial, which is why we don't ship to US retailers without the full package.

What wheel sizes do you stock and why not 18"?

Six sizes: 12" balance, 14", 16", 20", 24", and 26" junior MTB. We deliberately don't stock 18" because it's a niche size that creates inventory friction for most shops without commensurate sales volume.

What brake configurations do your 14" and 16" models use?

Coaster brake (back-pedal) plus rear hand brake is the EU-standard configuration where coaster brakes are permitted. Hand-brake-only is supplied for markets where coaster brakes aren't standard. Confirm your preference in the quote.

At what wheel size does coaster brake end?

20" and above use front and rear hand brakes only. Children at that age can reliably actuate hand brakes, and the gearing on 20" and above wouldn't work with a coaster.

What's the warranty on kids' bikes?

Frames: 3 years against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser. Components: warranty per manufacturer terms, typically 1 year on groupset and brakes. Warranty matters less in kids' bikes because children outgrow before they wear out, but failure-mode coverage matters more because the rider is a child.

Do you supply kids' e-bikes?

Not at launch. Motor and battery regulatory exposure for child-product applications is higher than for adult e-bikes, and we'd rather build into that category properly when we do.

Do you offer school or community program quotes?

Yes. Higher-volume program orders get consistent paint, spec, and tracking label sequences across the order. Tell us the program scope in the quote.

How are kids' bikes packed for transit?

Boxed and palletised, with denser per-pallet unit counts than adult bikes due to smaller box dimensions. Training wheels and any accessory items packaged within each box. Every shipment documented with photographs before dispatch.

Do you supply tracking labels for US shipments?

Yes. CPSIA-required tracking labels are applied to every unit destined for the US, with the format specified by CPSIA requirements and the tracking sequence supplied to your shop with shipment documentation.

Do you supply assembly instructions and torque charts?

Yes. Assembly notes per model with the children's-specific torque values, and a procedure note for coaster-brake models since they differ from standard adult-bike service workflow.

What about replacement parts for the kids' models?

Common kids' bike replacement items (brake levers sized for children's hands, training wheels, chain guards, reflectors) are stocked separately and quoted alongside your bike order. Drivetrain spare parts share with our adult ranges where the components overlap, simplifying your inventory.
