What we supply.
We launched into e-bikes after the operational work was done, not before, which is why our range is deliberately tight at launch. Three models that cover the highest-volume e-bike use cases for independent shops: urban commuting, comfort, and entry-level fitness. We’re not in the e-MTB, cargo e-bike, or speed pedelec categories yet because each adds certification and service complexity we’d rather build into properly than supply half-right.
Urban e-commuter
Class 1 pedal-assist · Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line 250W EU / Class 1 US · Samsung 21700 and LG cells battery 500Wh · Hydraulic disc · 700c · Rack and mudguard mounts · Integrated lights
The volume model for shops in cities with e-bike incentive programs.
Comfort e-bike
Step-through aluminium frame · Same motor and battery system as urban e-commuter · Wider tires · Padded saddle · Upright position
The bike older customers and accessibility-focused fleet operators buy.
Fitness e-hybrid
Lighter aluminium frame · Flat bar · Same motor and battery system · Narrower tires · No integrated lights or rack mounts
The bridge product for road and fitness riders moving to assist.
A supplier built around what e-bikes actually need.
Full certification stack
EN 15194 (EU electric cycle directive), CPSC 16 CFR Part 1512 (US bicycle standard), and UL 2849 (US/global e-bike system safety) for every model. UN 38.3 certificates for the battery cells. EAPC compliance for UK shipments. Documentation travels with your shipment.
Dangerous-goods freight handled
E-bikes ship as dangerous goods under IATA and IMDG rules. We use a DG-certified freight forwarder and a packaging spec tested to UN 38.3. Your shipment moves legally, declared correctly, with the paperwork your customs requires.
Real service support behind warranty
Battery and motor warranties are supported by direct supplier relationships with [Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line] and [Samsung 21700 and LG cells], not a generic distributor channel. Your service tickets reach an engineer, not a queue.
Wholesale pricing that protects your margin
Direct-from-manufacturer pricing without an extra import layer compressing your margin. Tier pricing improves as your volume grows.

Your name on a category your competitors can’t fake.
A private-label e-bike line is a longer commitment than a private-label commuter, because the certification chain has to extend to your branded SKUs. We work that through with you: same UL 2849 system certification, same UN 38.3 battery certificates, same EN 15194 documentation, all valid under your brand. Your shop signs off a sample with your branding before any full production run. Private-label e-bikes start at [150 units per model], with 3 weeks to first sample and [14–18 weeks from sample approval].
Enquire about private-label e-bikesE-bike specifications and standards.
E-bikes occupy a regulatory category separate from non-assist bicycles because they combine a frame, an electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery, each subject to its own compliance regime, plus the system as a whole. The standards stack we work to:
EN 15194 (EU)
The European standard for electrically power-assisted cycles. It limits motor power to 250W continuous output and pedal assist to 25 km/h, defines the cutoff behavior when those limits are reached, and specifies electrical safety requirements for the motor, controller, display, and wiring. Every e-bike we ship to EU retailers carries EN 15194 certification.
CPSC 16 CFR Part 1512 (US)
The US bicycle standard that applies to e-bikes alongside non-assist bikes. State-level classifications (Class 1, 2, and 3, defined by motor type and assist speed cap) determine where the bike can legally be ridden; we confirm the right classification per shipment based on your state and intended use.
UL 2849 (US and global)
The system-level safety standard for e-bikes that has become the de facto certification for US retail since New York City’s local law required it in 2023. Several other US cities and states have moved or are moving toward similar requirements. We hold UL 2849 certification on every model, with the test reports available for your customs file and your insurer.
UN 38.3 (lithium-ion battery transport)
The transport certification for the lithium-ion battery cells themselves. Without it, your shipment cannot move by air or sea internationally. Our battery supplier holds current UN 38.3 certificates on every cell chemistry in our range; the certificates travel with the shipment paperwork.
EAPC (UK)
Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles compliance, the UK’s framework that mirrors EN 15194 for post-Brexit shipments. We confirm EAPC compliance for UK retailer shipments separately from EU.
On build: aluminium frames across the launch range. Motor systems are [Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line], rated at 250W continuous for EU compliance and Class 1 pedal-assist for US. Battery systems are [Samsung 21700 and LG cells], with capacities of [400–500Wh] and the cells holding current UN 38.3 certification. Hydraulic disc brakes are standard, because a 25 km/h pedal-assisted bike in wet weather with rim brakes is a stopping-distance problem we won’t ship. Wheel size is 700c across the launch range. Display units are [Bosch Purion or equivalent], with diagnostic port access for service.
E-MTB, cargo e-bikes, speed pedelecs (the EU’s 45 km/h S-pedelec class, which is registered as a moped in most member states and requires separate insurance and licensing), or throttle-operated Class 2 e-bikes for US markets. Each of those categories adds certification, service, or insurance complexity we’d rather build into properly than supply half-prepared.
E-bikes ship as dangerous goods, and that changes everything.
Three operational realities to know up front. Hiding them produces awkward emails and worse: a customs seizure.
Freight is dangerous-goods regulated, not standard
Lithium-ion batteries are classified as UN 3481 (batteries contained in equipment) for shipped e-bikes. International freight requires a DG-certified forwarder, declared correctly under IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations for air or the IMDG Code for sea. Our forwarder is DG-certified; our packaging is UN 38.3 tested; the shipment manifest is declared correctly at origin. A standard bike freight quote does not cover an e-bike shipment, and we won't pretend otherwise. Freight cost runs meaningfully higher than non-assist bike freight; we quote it transparently per shipment so your landed cost is a known number before you commit.
Packing is battery-protective, not just frame-protective
The battery is the highest-value and highest-risk component in the box. Our packing spec separates the battery from the frame during transit with shock-absorbing protection rated for the carrier handling profile, and includes the prescribed DG labels and documentation visible on the carton exterior. We document every shipment with photographs before dispatch, including the battery and DG paperwork as packed.
Assembly is mostly mechanical, but the diagnostic check is electrical
E-bikes arrive with the battery shipped in the box but not installed in the bike, handlebars rotated for clearance, pedals off, and the front wheel disconnected. Your mechanic fits the front wheel and rotor caliper, straightens and torques the bars, installs the pedals, and runs the brake bleed-check and shifting check, as on a non-assist bike. The added step is the electrical diagnostic: battery installation, system power-on check, display and assist-mode verification, and a brief road test of the assist response. We supply diagnostic procedure notes per motor system, the torque chart for the fasteners that matter, and the manufacturer's service portal access for any system-level diagnostics.
Real warranty support, not a phone tree.
Battery and motor warranty handling is where e-bike wholesale supplier relationships succeed or fail, because the failures cluster in years one and two and the warranty conversations are technical rather than commercial.
Battery warranty
2 years from your shop's sale date to the end customer, or 500 charge cycles, whichever comes first. Covers manufacturing defect and capacity degradation below 70% of original within the warranty period. Does not cover damage from impact, water ingress beyond the IPX rating, charging with non-supplied chargers, or storage outside specified temperature range. Replacement batteries are dispatched to your shop within [5 business days] of validated warranty claim; your shop installs and disposes of the failed battery per local battery regulations.
Motor warranty
[2 years] from your shop's sale date to the end customer. Covers manufacturing defect, controller failure, and motor bearing failure within the warranty period. Does not cover damage from impact, water ingress beyond the IPX rating, or service by non-authorized personnel. Replacement motor units or service through [Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line]'s service network are coordinated through your account manager.
System diagnostics
Every motor system in our range includes a diagnostic port and service portal access. Your shop's mechanic can pull error codes, firmware versions, and battery health data directly. We supply the procedure documentation per system.
Battery end-of-life handling
Under the EU Battery Directive and equivalent regulations in other markets, retailers have obligations for the collection and disposal of used e-bike batteries. We supply guidance on the regulations applicable to your market with every order, but the operational handling sits with your shop or your local waste-collection partner.

What buyers actually ask.
What certifications do you supply with wholesale e-bikes?
EN 15194 (EU), CPSC 16 CFR Part 1512 (US), UL 2849 (US and increasingly required globally), EAPC (UK), and UN 38.3 for battery cells. Documentation travels with your shipment.
Do you handle dangerous-goods freight?
Yes. Our forwarder is DG-certified; our packaging is UN 38.3 tested; the shipment is declared correctly at origin under IATA or IMDG rules depending on mode. Freight cost runs higher than non-electric bikes; we quote it transparently per shipment.
What motor and battery brands do you use?
[Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line] for motors, [Samsung 21700 and LG cells] for battery cells. We use established suppliers with current certifications because the warranty and service chain depends on those relationships.
What's the battery warranty?
2 years from your shop's sale date or 500 charge cycles, whichever comes first. Covers manufacturing defect and capacity degradation below 70% within the warranty period. Replacement batteries dispatched to your shop within [5 business days] of validated claim.
What's the motor warranty?
[2 years] from your shop's sale date. Covers manufacturing defect, controller failure, and bearing failure. Replacement or service coordinated through your account manager and [Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line]'s service network.
Do you supply e-MTB, cargo e-bikes, or speed pedelecs?
Not at launch. Each adds certification, service, or insurance complexity we'd rather build into properly than supply half-prepared.
What about Class 2 throttle-operated e-bikes for the US?
Not at launch. We supply Class 1 pedal-assist for US shipments. Class 2 throttle compliance and the associated regulatory exposure sits outside our launch scope.
Can my shop service the e-bikes you supply, or do I need to send them to you?
Standard mechanical service is shop-level. Motor-level service uses [Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line]'s diagnostic portal and service network; your mechanic can pull error codes and battery health locally. We supply procedure documentation per system.
Do you supply diagnostic tools?
Diagnostic port access is included on every model. The diagnostic procedure notes are supplied with your order; specialised [Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line] tools are available through [Bafang M-series and Bosch Active Line]'s authorised service program.
What happens with a battery that needs end-of-life disposal?
Your shop or your local battery-collection partner handles disposal under your market’s regulations (EU Battery Directive, US state regulations, others). We supply guidance on the applicable regulations with every order.
Can you supply fleet or rental orders?
Yes. Higher-volume fleet orders get consistent paint code and component spec across the order. Battery warranty terms for high-cycle fleet use are confirmed in your quote (high-cycle use can shorten the 500-cycle trigger meaningfully).
What insurance do you carry as a wholesale e-bike supplier?
Product liability insurance specifically extended to e-bikes is in place. Certificate available for your records on request.
Stock what your e-bike customers need next.
These are the upsell-attached categories that genuinely follow an e-bike sale, not generic accessory padding.
